Though he’s been in the music business for more than 15 years, and witnessed friends and family struggle with the lure of addiction, Toby’s adherence to a healthy lifestyle has propelled him through the tough times. A proud adherent to the “Straight Edge” lifestyle, Toby has made the “Positive Mental Attitude” espoused by hardcore legends Bad Brains and drug-free living introduced by the band Minor Threat both a crusade and a way of life.
Raised alongside two brothers by a single-mom, Toby fell in love with music and relocated to New York City in 1988 to be nearer to the hardcore punk scene. Today, Toby lives in Los Angeles with his wife Moon and son Max, where he continues to play music with H2O. Toby’s vast and varied experience offers him a unique and thrilling vantage point.
